Community Foundation of Northern Illinois holds Scholarship Fair

The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois, along with the Rockford Public Library and Rock Valley College, will be holding a Community Scholarship Fair on Tuesday from 5-7:30 p.m. at Mendelssohn Hall, 406 N. Main St.

The fair will have booths where attendees can speak to representatives from many local organizations who can give advice on getting needed financial aid.

There will be a seminar offered at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. on the Financial Aid Process, applying for free Application for Federal Student Aid, Financial Aid Programs of the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, and applying for Rock Valley College Foundation Scholarships. These seminars will be presented by the Rock Valley College Financial Aid Office and Illinois Student Assistance Commission.

Also at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. there will be seminars on Community Foundation scholarship opportunities, including how to apply, and Rockford Public Library’s local scholarship database and scholarship resources. These seminars will be presented by the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois and Rockford Public Library.
