Engineering and environmental firm, Fehr Graham, has announced the acquisition of civil and structural engineering, and land surveying firm, Coombe-Bloxdorf P.C. of Springfield. Fehr Graham is headquarted in Freeport and has 10 locations including Cedar Rapids, Manchester and West Union. This acquisition increases services provided out of the Springfield market, adding to the current structural engineering base. Through this acquisition the Springfield branch will go to a total of 25 employees, up from the current nine.

Initially established as a two-person engineering and land surveying firm almost 25 years ago, Coombe-Bloxdorf has grown into a multi-discipline engineering consulting firm. The firm has focused on delivering high quality services to the public and private sectors.
