Letter: Think of the Rockford Park District when giving this year

Dear Readers,

When you enjoy the Rockford Park District’s many assets such as the recreation paths, Sportscore Complexes, Riverview Ice House, Carlson Ice Arena, Atwood Center, Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens, Alpine Hills Adventure Park, Lockwood Park, or your neighborhood park, you know firsthand what a world class park district is. The Rockford Park District takes pride in keeping our facilities clean and safe. The programs offered to our citizens are top-notch, and the youth in our community experience fun as they should.

The Rockford Park District is the heartbeat of our community. It is where memories are created, friendships are formed, families gather, education experiences happen, and nature is appreciated. None of this would be possible without you…the investors of our park district.

All of the gifts received by the Rockford Park District Foundation help bridge the gap between the Park District’s budget and the expressed expectations of our community.

Imagine Rockford without a park district, without parks for our children to play in. Imagine not having a rec path to walk on, or children enjoying summer programs. For over 100 years, the Rockford Park District has been the driving force in bringing families together, encouraging our youth to be active, and helping everyone enjoy life. The state-of-the-art facilities, parks, and programs are what the founders of the Rockford Park District envisioned. Through your kindness today, we can continue building and transforming lives in the Rockford Park District.

We understand the holidays are a busy time for all of us, and would like to make it as easy as possible for you to give. We now offer three convenient ways to make your donation:
