Wild Ones hosts native plants informational program

On Thursday, January 21 the Rock River Valley Chapter of Wild Ones will be hosting an event to test the knowledge of common and uncommon native plants through a photographic review.

The evening will feature Tim Lewis of Wild Ones as the game show host. Tim is an avid native gardener, photographer, and National President of Wild Ones. He will be photographs taken himself as well as other Wild Ones members to go on an interactive tour discovering the names and notable characteristics of dozens of native plants and trees.

This event hopes to bring a fun and entertaining opportunity to learn about native plants while learning tips and tricks for cultivating the. A question and answer session will follow the photographic overview.

The event will go from 7-9 p.m. at Rock Valley College/Woodward Technology Center, 3301 N. Mulford Road. This program is free and open to the public, and those attending can also browse the Wild Ones library, merchandise table and refreshment table.
