Artwork by local students goes on display

Staff Report

Artwork by students from Auburn, East, Guilford, and Jefferson High Schools as well as Roosevelt Alternative High School will be on display at the All-City Art Exhibition on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at downtown galleries including Octane Interlounge, 124 N. Main St.; Kortman Gallery at J.R. Kortman Center for Design, 107 N. Main St.; Ascension Art Studio, 323 W. Jefferson St.; and CNVR/Conveyer, 317 W. Jefferson St.

“This a great opportunity for students to show their creative works in an actual gallery environment where it can be seen by the general public, who may not usually attend school events,” says Jerry Kortman, co-owner of the Kortman Gallery.

The 3-D art exhibited in the Kortman Gallery will be on display through January 23.
