Forest Preserves begin taking shelter house reservations

The Forest Preserves of Winnebago County will begin taking reservations for use of shelter houses for the 2016 season on Monday, February 1. The fees for reserving shelter houses is $50 for small shelter houses, $75 for large without electricity and $85 for large with electricity. Non-resident rates are $75, $100 and $115 respectively.

Reservations for use of the shelters will be taken on a first come-first served basis on February 1 at FPWC headquarters which is located at 5500 Northrock Drive. Beginning February 2 reservations and purchases can be made online at winnebagoforest.org. Reservations must pay in full to reserve and confirm dates. Applications can also be requested by phone or email but FPWC cannot guarantee that the date will be available when application and payment are received.
