Rock Valley College will have representatives from the Financial Aid office on hand to assist students and parents that need assistance completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on Mondays February 8, 15, 22 and 29. Representatives can help answer questions about financial aid and provide personalized, confidential assistance. They will be available 4-8 p.m. each of these nights in the Woodward Technology Center, room 152, on RVC’s main campus at 3301 N. Mulford Road.
FAFSA worksheet forms may be obtained from the RVC Financial Aid office, high school guidance counselor offices, area libraries or online at FAFSA.gov.
Those attending should bring 2015 Tax Information (parents and students 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ Federal Tax applications and W2 forms); student’s drivers license and social security card as well as parent’s social security card; records of untaxed income (welfare, social security, AFDC, ADC, veteran benefits, or child support received and/or paid during 2015); and a calculator.

Also on site at RVC every Monday through April 11 will be Goodwill of Northern Illinois offering free tax preparation assistance. These services will be available from 4-8 p.m. in Woodward Technology Center, room 152. Residents with a single income of less than $25,000 or family income of less than $50,000 qualify for this free assistance. Walk-ins will not be accepted.
