KNIB offers phone book recycling

Staff Report

With the delivery of new phone books coming soon the City of Rockford advises residents to recycle older phone books rather than throw them away. Phone books are 100 percent recyclable and old as well as unwanted new phone books can be placed in their City-issued blue recycling bins for pick-up

In addition to using recycling bins phone books and other household recyclables can be brought to the Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful Recycling Centers located at 4665 Hydraulic Road in Rockford and 13125 N. Second Street in Roscoe. The Rockford location is open 2-5 p.m. on Tuesdays and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturdays. The Roscoe location is open 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturdays only.
