IceHogs prepare for Sock Drive Night

Staff Report

BMO Harris Bank along with the Rockford IceHogs have announced that they will host Sock Drive Night on Friday, February 19 at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Donations of new socks are currently accepted at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office as well as all 13 BMO Harris Bank branches in the City of Rockford. Donations will also be accepted at the IceHogs game on February 19. The collected socks will be donated to homeless children in Rockford through Project Undershare. Hubert the Lion will be at the game on February 19 to greet and thank the community as donations are accepted.

“Every year we look forward to supporting these efforts that mean a lot to us and to our Rockford community,” said Andrea Ward, Market President, BMO Harris Bank. “We feel fortunate to be in our fourth year supporting Project Undershare by championing the sock drive donation and encourage everyone to donate a pair of socks to help us reach our goal this year.”

More than 1,500 socks were collected last year through donations and this year the goal is to collect 2,000 for the children served by Project Undershare.

Fans can also take part in this by posting a picture of themselves wearing their favorite pair of socks using #BMOSockSelfie. These images will be shown throughout the game on Sock Drive Night, February 19.

Sock donations will be accepted through February 19 when the IceHogs take on the Manitoba Moose at 7 p.m. To purchase tickets for the game go to icehogs.com or call 815-968-5222. Those who donate a pair of new children’s socks will receive a ticket voucher for a pre-selected IceHogs game.
