Family Video announces Round It Up campaign

Staff Report

Over the past four years Highland Ventures, through its brands Family Video, Marco’s Pizza, Stay Fit 24 and Digital Doc, has raised more than $4.6 million to support the Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) and the Lymphoma Biobank at the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) is the nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted to funding innovative research and serving the lymphoma community through a comprehensive series of education programs, outreach initiatives and patient services. To date, LRF has awarded more than $55 million in lymphoma-specific research. For more information on LRF visit

To help in the effort to raise funds for LRF, from March 11-27 customers are asked to round up their transactions to the nearest dollars at Highland Ventures locations, with 100 percent of donations collected through this helping fund vital lymphoma research. Since the Round It Up campaign began in 2011 14 new lymphoma treatment drugs and 63 research grants have been approved according to LRF.

“Lymphoma is a disease that has touched the lives of many of our employees and their loved ones. Continued support of this biobank and the Lymphoma Research Foundation’s mission, will improve understanding of why lymphoma develops, and how different environmental factors impact prognosis and treatment, and will provide educational services to those affected by this disease. Ultimately, the lymphoma biobank and LRF will help us make significant progress towards finding a cure,” said Keith Hoogland, Highland Ventures Ltd President. “Our customers have shown their generosity about this cause in the past, and we are excited for our company to be able to play this role in the fight against lymphoma.”
