Blackhawk Technical College will be hosting their 13th annual Health Fair on Wednesday with more than 45 community organizations participating.
This event is free and open to the public, and will go from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the North Commons of Blackhawk’s Central Campus at 6004 County Highway G in Janesville.
There will be door prizes and gift certificates available, as well as a special prize drawing with entries coming from those who make a contribution to Blackhawk’s Coins for Caring fund. Money contributed to Coins for Caring is distributed by the BTC Foundation to students facing an emergency economic need.
Area businesses and organizations expected to make presentations at the Health Fair include: AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, ADRC of Rock County, Agrace Hospice & Palliative Care, Alzheimer’s Association, Anytime Fitness, Basics Cooperative, Beloit Area Community Health Center, Beloit Cancer Care Center, Beloit Hospital, Beloit Public Health Initiative, Beloit Regional Hospice, BioLife Plasma Services, Centra Family Chiropractic, Dean Health Plan, Edgerton Hospital, Fair Oaks Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, First Choice Women’s Health Center/Wisconsin Well Woman Program, Janesville Athletic Club, Janesville Leisure Services, Janesville Mobilizing 4 Change, Miracle Ear Beloit, Kleen Fitness, Mary Kay Cosmetics, New Best Body, Paull Chiropractic at Rivers Edge, Premier Tennis & Fitness, Richardson Center for Learning & Wellness, Rock County Health Department, Rock Valley Community Programs, Senior Helpers, Sexual Assault Recovery Program, Tastefully Simple, Touch of Pilates, Upper Iowa University, The Wright Way Farm, and YMCA of Northern Rock County.
Several BTC programs will also be providing information at the event.
