The SWEEP program is looking for crews to help residents having difficulty meeting the needs of their summer lawn and property maintenance.
Crew members must be residents of Winnebago or Boone County, between the ages of 16-20, and meet income guidelines. Crews will receive training and an hourly stipend.
Applications are available at the Community Services Division of the City of Rockford Human Services Department, 555 N. Court St., Suite 301 (Winnebago County Residents) or the Belvidere City Hall, 401 Whitney Blvd., (Boone County Residents).
Applications are due to the above sites no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 16. Interested participants are encouraged to call 844-710-6919 for application information.
SWEEP is coordinated by the Community Action Agency of the City of Rockford Human Services Department and funded by the Community Services Block Grant through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
