Riverfront Museum Park celebrates 25th anniversary
The Riverfront Museum Park has announced they will be celebrating their 25th anniversary with a Dancing Under the Stars party on Saturday, July 9. The party will take place at 7 p.m. in the parking lot of RMP which overlooks the Rock River and Rockford Riverwalk bridge.
The event will feature music by Prime Time Live, hors d’oeuvres from Prairie Street Brewhouse, RMP signature cocktails, and rides down the Rock River on the Forest City Queen from the newly dedicated boat dock. Tickets for the event are $50 per ticket.
Prior to the party guests are encouraged to attend the Rockford Park District’s dedication of the new public boat dock and the inaugural launch of the Forest City Queen at 6 p.m. This program will take place at the Riverwalk Amphitheater behind the Burpee Museum of Natural History. Admittance to this ceremony is free and guests will receive a commemorative gift.
