On Saturday, June 4, Ballpark Ale Fest will make its debut at Rivets Stadium, former home of the Rockford Aviators & Riverhawks. This event will feature both those new to craft beer and veterans alike. There will be more than 80 different craft beers from 40 American craft brewers, along with a pub grub inspired menu with a ballpark twist, and live music by AudioDrive. The festival will go from 1-5 p.m.
This event is organized by Lou Dog Events, a production and management company specializing in craft beer festivals. Although this is the group’s first event in Rockford, the President and Founder, Josh Seago, was born and raised in Machesney Park and graduated from Harlem High School before starting his company to follow his passion for craft beer.
“I’ve really looked forward to organizing a beer festival in my hometown and all the pieces fell perfectly into place with Rivets Stadium as the home of Rockford Ballpark Ale Fest,” said Seago. “We’re getting fantastic support from several businesses in town and we’re excited to bring a huge variety of spring & summer beers to Rockford.”
General admission tickets for Rockford’s Ballpark Ale Fest are on sale now for $35 each at ballparkalefest.com/tickets. Tickets will be available at the ballpark gates on the day of the festival, but guests are encouraged to purchase tickets prior to the event to avoid ticket lines.
