Meyer’s Tails Up Farm hosts Dogs Day Out

Meyer’s Tails Up Farm, located at 5390 Irene Road in Belvidere, will be hosting a free community event called Dog Day Out on Sunday, June 5. Residents are couraged to bring their dogs and enjoy a day of activities including agility courses, dock diving, canine aquatics and more. This event will go from 1-4 p.m.

Kent and Gwen Meyer are the owners of Meyer’s Tails Up Farm in Belvidere; Meyer’s Canine Colony in Roscoe; and Meyer’s Animal House in DeForest, Wisconsin. They have been offering pet lodging, grooming, pet daycare and obedience classes for dogs and cats in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin for over 30 years.

“It’s so important for people to remember that dogs need not just exercise, but mental stimulation. This event is designed, first to be a fun and free day out with your dog, but second, to allow owners to learn new ways to keep their dog happy and healthy, “ says Gwen Meyer.
