Lou Bachrodt hosts Charity Dog Wash

RCC Dog WashStudents from Rockford Career College Vet Tech will be donating their services on Saturday for the 11th Annual Charity Dog Wash at Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall, 7070 Cherryvale N. Blvd., from 12-4 p.m.

Dog owners can bring in their dogs to get them washed in warm warmer, and their nails clipped for a donation to the Good Shepherd Animal Sanctuary.

The costs for these services are as follows: $15 for small dogs 15 pounds & under; $17 for medium dogs 16-40 pounds; $20 for large dogs 41 pounds & over; $5 for nail trims.

Donations of dog food, cat food, cat litter will also be accepted for Kibble Korner Pet Food Pantry. Pet vendors, rescue organizations, small businesses, raffles and silent auctions will also be featured at the event.

Rockford Career College’s Vet Tech program prepares graduates to perform a wide variety of medical procedures, produce diagnostic radiographs, administer anesthesia and assist in surgeries. Upon graduation the vet techs can be prepared to work in private clinics, laboratories, animal hospitals, boarding kennels, animal shelters, rescue leagues and even zoos.
