G4V Rockford serves state line area veterans who receive their health care through the Rockford VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic.
Veterans receive a new acoustic guitar and accessories after participating in a structured program of 10 weekly lessons offered by volunteers. Monthly Jam Sessions, held the second Monday of each month, provide an ongoing forum for veterans to continue their music-making journey.
Lobby doors will open at 2 p.m. for the start of a silent auction; musicians will perform from 3-6 p.m. Tickets cost $10 and will be available at the door and at Veterans Memorial Hall, 211 N. Main St.
