KISS to hire a ‘Roadie for the Day’

Staff Report

As part of their Freedom To Rock Tour, which comes to the BMO Harris Bank Center on Saturday, August 20, KISS is partnering with Hiring Our Heroes and Veteran Tickets Foundation to honor members of the National Guard and military reserve forces.

As part of this partnership KISS will hire a currently serving member of the National Guard or Reserve force to be a “Roadie for the Day” for the concert. KISS will also donate a limited number of tickets to veterans in the Rockford community that will be distributed through VetTix.org, which will also have discounted tickets available for purchase to veterans and their family members. Military discounts will also be available at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office with proof of a valid military ID.

“KISS is celebrating our ‘Freedom To Rock Tour’ this summer; the same freedom that’s been upheld by our veterans and active duty service members,” said KISS member Paul Stanley.

“We are proud to partner with HOH and Vet Tix to highlight the incredible commitment and sacrifices of hometown heroes serving in the National Guard and Reserve forces,” said KISS member Gene Simmons. “Many of these heroes have given a lot – and some have given all – and we will honor them in every town we tour.”

The military roadie will be selected by Hiring Our Heroes along with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. For more information on this program visit KissOnline.com.

Tickets for the Kiss performance are currently on sale at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office, Ticketmaster.com, or by calling 815-968-5222.
