The Beloit Fine Arts Incubator will open their July exhibit on Friday, featuring the work of artist and Beloit-native Carol Spitznagel.
As a senior at Beloit Memorial High School, she received a scholarship to Columbus College of Art and Design. From there, she worked in marketing and advertising positions where her art training was put to good use. Today, Spitznagel uses her artistic talents to create paintings that show a joy of life. She is especially fond of portraying people in different aspects of their lives.
Opening night for this exhibit is Friday from 5-8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Spitznagel will be on hand to meet the public and discuss his art. The show will continue through July 29.
The Beloit Fine Arts Incubator is located at 520 E. Grand Avenue in downtown Beloit. The Gallery is open Monday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
