Rivets sweep Green Bay, host Lakeshore tonight
For the second night in a row, the Rockford Rivets held on to a one-run lead and beat the Green Bay Bullfrogs, 3-2, on Thursday at Rivets Stadium.
Rockford completed a two-game series sweep when Green Bay stranded the possible tying run at third base. In Wednesday’s series opener, a 4-3 win, the Bullfrogs also left the potential tying run on base.
The Rivets face The Lakeshore Chinooks at Rivets Stadium 6:35 p.m. tonight for Zooperstars night. It’s also TGIF, when beer is just $3 from the time gates open until the first pitch of the game.
