MERCYHEALTH BOOTH The Pediatric & Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Rockford Memorial Hospital offers the most advanced care for children and infants in the region. We will be sharing health and safety information with booth visitors. We will have fun ‘prizes’ for our young guests who choose to participate in our interactive game.

We are recognized by the Illinois Department of Public Health as a Pediatric Critical Care Center. A distinction held by only 10 hospitals in Illinois. We have 4 Child Life Specialists who support the family-centered care we provide on the units. Our 20 bed Pediatric unit has 8 Pediatric Hospitalists and the 7 bed PICU has 3 Pediatric Intensivists who specialize in caring for pediatric patients in the hospital.

For the past few years, the Rockford Chariots Wheelchair Basketball Team has had several match-ups at Rockford City Market against other sports teams in the Rockford region. Tonight, the Chariots will once again go up against the Rockford Ravens Rugby Team in a heated wheelchair basketball game.

Market-goers are encouraged to stop by the RAMP parking lot, 202 Market St., at 6 p.m. to watch the game and root for all the participating players. Spectators will also be able to contribute to the game by donating money to one team or the other to give that team bonus points.
