‘Rolling with Rotary’ – West side sidewalk-to-sidewalk cleanup project

From the Rockford Rotary

Rotarians from Chicago, Rockford, Loves Park and Cherry Valley will join forces with the Westgateway Coalition and residents of Ellis Heights for “Rolling with Rotary”, a “Sidewalk-to-Sidewalk” clean-up project – over 70 persons are expected to be part of the project.

This will take place on Sunday, September 25, from 1-3 p.m. at the corner of Foster and West State Street (five blocks west of Central Ave.)

The reason for this is that this area of Rockford has had very little attention. Check-in, teams form, and work begins at 1 p.m. Rolling with the Rotary folks will also bring children’s books for the neighborhood.

There will be many volunteers in action. More than 30 persons are expected to volunteer for this clean-up effort.
