Music Academy welcomes ghosts, ghouls at open house

Ghosts and goblins will get an early start to Halloween during the annual Spooky Suzuki Open House of The Music Academy in Rockford from 9-11 a.m on Saturday, October 29. 

Spooky Suzuki  provides the public an opportunity to observe Saturday morning classes and meet artist faculty members. A Book Sale features gently used books, both children’s and adult, CDs, vinyl records and sheet music. Most items will be priced at $1 and proceeds will benefit financial aid and scholarship programs at the Music Academy. Those wishing to donate books may bring them to the Music Academy until noon on Saturday, October 22.

The free Open House also will feature homemade Halloween-themed refreshments. The Rock River Times is a sponsor of the event.

The Music Academy is a not-for-profit community school of music dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable instruction and performance opportunities to Academy students, regardless of age or ability. It has been dedicated to its mission to inspire a life-long love of music and the arts in its students for over 30 years.
