Gov. Bruce Rauner more than tripled his income during his first year in office, according to income tax returns his office released Friday.
The first-term Republican and his wife showed income showed income of more than $188 million in 2015, up from $58.3 million in 2014. Rauner paid more than $50 million in state and federal taxes for the year.
In addition to releasing the Rauner family’s returns, the administration also released tax information from the nonprofit Rauner Family Foundation.
