Holiday Pops returns for pair of shows

Celebrate Rockford’s most anticipated holiday tradition with the RSO’s annual Holiday Pops concerts Saturday, December 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 18 at 3 p.m. at the Coronado Performing Arts Center. The performances are graciously sponsored by Alpine Bank.

Under the direction of Marti Bein, the MPAC Mendelssohn Chorale joins the Rockford Symphony Orchestra to bring powerful performances featuring more than 140 vocalists and musicians performing songs like “Carol of the Bells”, “We Need A Little Christmas”, “A Holly Jolly Christmas” from Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer: the movie, “Twas the Night Before Christmas”, and the RSO traditional carol singalong.

RSO Music Director Steven Larsen, will conduct the RSO, an award-winning orchestra made up of 85 professional musicians from around the region. The RSO will perform classics and pops series concerts for more than 40,000 people this year.
