Rockford Police search for carjacking suspects

ROCKFORD — Rockford Police are searching for two men they say attempted to carjack a victim at gunpoint Wednesday.

Police say around 7:30 p.m., the suspects approached a car in the 600 block of 15th Avenue. One man knocked on a window with a long gun. The glass did not break, and the suspects were not able to get inside the victim’s locked car. The two men then fled in a maroon Chevrolet Tahoe. The victim was not injured.
