ROCKFORD – PaleoFest 2020 will be March 6-8 at Burpee Museum of Natural History, 737 N. Main St., Rockford.
Organizers say this year’s PaleoFest will continue its trend of being one of Rockford’s most noted annual events.
“We will once again celebrate all things prehistoric with our 22nd annual PaleoFest featuring speakers from around the world, our largest number of visitors to the museum in a single weekend, and awesome activities for the adult scientist all the way to the budding young paleontologist,” Burpee announced on its website. “From art workshops to scientific lectures to family workshops, Rockford and beyond celebrates this amazing tradition with Burpee Museum!”
The weekend will also feature free student symposiums, a members-only reception, live music and a keynote presentations by Dr. Larisa DeSantis, of Vanderbilt University, and Tsiory Andrianavalona, a paleontologist from Madagascar.
Cost is $12 for adults, $10 for youth. Burpee members: $4 for adults, $2 for youth.
