Police ask for public’s help locating Rockford murder suspect
ROCKFORD – The Rockford Police Department is asking the public’s help locating a man who allegedly shot and killed another man two years ago.
Mario Williams, 30, of Rockford, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 32-year-old Robert Brooks. Brooks was shot dead at around 4 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019, in an apartment building in the 4100 block of Auburn Street.
Williams was named a suspect during a follow-up investigation and is currently at large.
