6th Annual Crossroads Blues Festival – Lycan Park, 4781 S. Bend Road in Rockford. The gates open at 11 a.m. for a fantastic day of music.  The music goes non-stop from noon to after 9:30 p.m.  Advanced tickets remain only $5; tickets at the gate are $10.  Children 6-18 can get in for $5 at the gate, 5 years old and under are free. The event will feature several blues artists such as Albert Castiglia, Dave Specter, Mike Wheeler, Stormcellar and more. Tickets are available in Rockford at Woodman’s Supermarket, Smokehouse BBQ, Culture Shock Records and Clothing, Just Goods Fair Trade Store, Toad Hall Records, CD Source, Guzzardo Music and Lyran Club on 4th Ave, just east of 7th St. For a list of other vendors selling tickets and more of the acts performing visit crossroadsbluesfestival.com.
