Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center announces Mendelssohn Chorale 2014-15 season – “Dreams of the Fallen” will be performed Nov. 8. Monday night rehearsals at 7 p.m at Starr Center, 415 N. Church St. Holiday Pops with the RSO will be performed Dec. 20 and 21. Monday night rehearsals begin Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. Info: 815-964-9713.

UW-Rock County Youth Orchestra is accepting members – Students from elementary thru high school with at least one year of experience with a band or stringed instrument can join the youth orchestra. Crossroads Blues Society will hold a Blues Challenge for bands, solo/duo and teen acts desiring to qualify to compete in the 2015 IBCS in Memphis, Jan. 20-24, 2015.
