Organ music at noon – 12-12:45 p.m. at Mendelssohn Hall, 406 N. Main St. This month’s free organ concert, titled “Winter Dreams,” features soothing, meditative tunes of the season played on our grand pipe organ.  Breath in the enchanting tunes of Bach, played on our grand pipe organ, and breath out the stresses of winter at this short, afternoon concert. A light lunch will be served following the concert. Take a break from your day and bring a friend to enjoy an energizing afternoon organ concert. Free admission.

The Groove Hotel – St. Mark Lutheran church of Rockford is hosting a free concert featuring one of Rockford’s premier jazz ensembles, the Groove Hotel. We invite the public to shake off the winter blues and enjoy an afternoon of great music.  This talented group features music in the contemporary style of upbeat funky, Latin and and swing style of jazz. Their fun interaction with the audience will guarantee an enjoyable, toe tapping afternoon of wonderful music. The free concert will be at 3 p.m., and is open to the public.
