From Bach to classic rock to metal to pop, we hope you’ll find our approach to music a refreshing change. It’s the past, present & future all brought together in perfect harmony! Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra – Special Mother’s Day Concert featuring: Zach Peterson, Beloit native, concert violinist,  performing special music; Sam Hansen, Janesville native, rising young pianist phenom; Emma Campbell, Edgerton native and violinist; Karen Koyama, Beloit College music faculty. Concert will take place at 3 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1000 Bluff St., Beloit, WI. $10.00 Donation at door requested. Proceeds for scholarships for our young performers for studies abroad in Germany during TCCO’s  2017 European tour. Attendees will receive a coupon from Clara Bo & Gatsby Wine Bar in Beloit good to come into the restaurant on Saturdays or Sundays for a buy one, get 1/2 off a second lunch.

Trinadora’s Original’s Concert with Luke McGowan – Katie’s Cup, 502 7th St. Free admission; an opportunity for free-will donations to the musicians will be provided. Doors open at 6 p.m. concert begins at 6:30.

Saturday, May 14

Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus concert – The Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus comes to Rockford to celebrate Chicago in their Spring Concert: My Kind of Town. This experience will whip you across musical genres spanning from Madrigal to Motown; with music from Bessie Smith, Goldrich and Heisler, Louis Armstrong and many more. Additionally, an art exhibit, The Art of Acceptance: Building the Bonds of Peace, will feature works by local artists and will be open for concert goers in the Emmanuel gallery. Performance takes place at 7 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 920 3rd Avenue. Tickets are $20 for General Admission; $15 for Students and Seniors.
