Arrest warrant issued in domestic violence case

ROCKFORD – The Rockford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a domestic violence suspect.
Authorities say that on just before 7 p.m., Tuesday, patrol officers from the Rockford Police Department responded to a residence in the 1000 block of North Central Avenue in reference to a reported battery. A woman told officers she’d been physically assaulted by a man with whom she had a previous domestic relationship.
The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Jamie Rogers, fled the scene before police arrived. Details of a follow-up investigation were later reviewed by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office and a warrant for Rogers’ arrest was issued.
Rogers has been charged with aggravated domestic battery. Initial bond has been set at $50,000.
