The Rock River Times has a circulation of 17,00 free newspapers in the Rockford, Ill., metropolitan area by Third Class mail and through more than 1,400 commercial outlets. The weekly newspaper, distributed every Wednesday, has been in publication since 1987.

ABOUT ROCKFORD: Rockford, Illinois’ third-largest city with a population of about 150,000, is in north central Illinois on the Rock River about 90 miles northwest of Chicago. The greater metropolitan area has a population of nearly 340,000.
