Police investigate homicide on Harlem Boulevard

ROCKFORD – Rockford Police detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred in the Churchill’s Grove neighborhood overnight.

Police say the scene unfolded  after 1 a.m., Saturday, on Harlem Boulevard near Sherman Street. That’s where officers responded to a shots-fired complaint and found a wounded 37-year-old man.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he died. His identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
