ROCKFORD – A domestic disturbance call led Rockford Police officers to a marijuana grow operation on the city’s far-west side last Friday.

Police spokesmen say officers responded to the domestic call in the 6600 block of Halley Road at about 8 p.m. and found 7,000 grams of marijuana throughout the house and more than 60 plants.

Lance McKinney, 40, was arrested at the scene. He’s charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver cannabis, possession of 50-200 cannabis plants, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct. He’s currently lodged in the Winnebago County Jail. Bail is set at $150,000. R.
