Suspect in four armed robberies still at large

Citizens with information are urged to call police

ROCKFORD — A man Rockford Police investigators say is connected to four armed robberies is still at large.

The robberies occurred Tuesday, Dec. 11 with between 7 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.

Around 7 p.m., at Boost Mobile, 3201 Auburn St., Police say the man produced a handgun, demanded money from employees and fled the scene.

Twenty minutes later, officers were called to S&H Tobacco at 2744 11th St. for another armed robbery. There, the gunman fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Another tobacco shop was held up at 8 p.m., Discount Tobacco and Pantry at 615 South Rockford Ave. The suspect fled that store with cash and cigarettes.

At 8:10 p.m., police say the man walked into Little Caesars Pizza at 3108 N. Rockton Ave., pointed the gun at an employee and demanded cash. 

In all four cases, the suspect was described as a black male wearing a navy blue and gray hooded jacket with a yellow and black scarf partially covering his face.
