ROCKFORD – The East E-Rabs girls bowling team finished third in Saturday’s Hononegah bowling regional, sending them to next week’s sectional.

The E-Rabs will be joined by six bowlers from Auburn, Guilford and Jefferson, who advanced as individuals.

Senior Tegan Peterson led the E-Rabs with a score of 1,199 in six games. The top four teams advanced and East finished a comfortable 129 pins ahead of fourth-place Hononegah.

Freshman Mackenzie Wallace also excelled for East with a 1,154, junior Jurnee Williams had a 1,093 and fellow junior McKayla Gary had a 1,064. Of the eight bowlers on East’s team, Peterson is the only senior.

Joining East in next week’s sectional will be Auburn’s Caitlyn Bannister and Sinclaire Casrotto, Guilford’s Carrie Minnier and Elli Cabello and Jefferson’s December Weestrand and Kesney Nuccio. R.
