Police investigate shooting on Mulberry Street
Juvenile suffers possible life-threatening injuries

ROCKFORD — A juvenile suffered what could be life-threatening injuries after being shot on the city’s west side Monday afternoon.
Police say at around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of Mulberry Street in reference to a
shooting. Officers located the male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital. His condition is currently unavailable as of this report.
A preliminary investigation suggests an altercation occurred in the middle of the street between the juvenile and three other males when shots were fired. Police are still on the scene.
