Coroner identifies Rockford homicide victim
ROCKFORD — The victim of a homicide Sunday on the city’s west side has been identified as 64-year-old Samuel Randolph.
Winnebago County Coroner Bill Hintz says Randolph died from blunt force trauma to his body.
At around 4 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Alliance Avenue and found Randolph’s body. There is no suspect is custody as of this report.
Detectives from the Rockford Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit are conducting a follow-up investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call police. R.
