ROCKFORD — Winnebago County State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross announced Wednesday that four men have been indicted by a grand jury for a murder that happened at a Rockford Taco Bell last November.

Mycarlo Gunn, 22, of Chicago, faces multiple counts of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, attempted armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and mob action.

Qydennie Simmons, 43, of Tennessee,  also faces multiple counts of first-degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, attempted armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and mob action.

Demarco Ford, 18, of Rockford, is charged with multiple counts of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, attempted armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and mob action.

Shymarko Jackson, 17, of Rockford, faces multiple counts of firs-degree murder, aggravated discharge of a firearm, attempted armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, possession of a firearm without a a valid FOID and mob action.

Charges against the suspects stem from a shooting that occurred Nov. 13, 2018, in the park lot of Taco Bell at 2602 Auburn St.

Officer found two victims inside a car. Both victims had been shot and were transported to a local hospital where the man, Zachary Reyes, 25 of Rockford, was pronounced dead. The 37-year-old female victim was seriously injured.

Mycarlo Gunn was arrested April 9 during a traffic stop in Rockford. He is in the Winnebago County Jail, awaiting a May 16 arraignment. Jackson is lodged in the Juvenile Detention Center. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m., May 9, in Courtroom D of the Winnebago County Justice Center.
