Blackhawks: Dylan Sikura among a dozen sent to Rockford

ROCKFORD – Forward Dylan Sikura was among a dozen players the Chicago Blackhawks sent to the Rockford IceHogs Saturday. 

Sikura, 24, skated in 33 games with Chicago last season and recorded eight assists. He tallied 17 goals and 18 assists in 46 contests with the IceHogs. The move will mark the second straight season Sikura will join his older brother Tyler in Rockford. 

Also assigned to Rockford Saturday were Matthew Highmore, Brandon Hagel, Philipp Kurashev, Mikael Hakkarainen, Alexandre Fortin, Reese Johnson, MacKenzie Entwistle, and defensemen Nicolas Beaudin, Joni Tuulola and Lucas Carlsson.

Goaltender Matt Tomkins was also assigned.

Chicago’s training camp roster currently stands at 33: 18 forwards, 11 defensemen and four goaltenders.
