Hockey: AHL suspends 2019-20 season amid COVID-19 pandemic

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – With the health and safety of our players, officials, staff and fans of primary importance, the American Hockey League has announced the suspension of play until further notice, effective immediately, due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.

The AHL will continue to monitor developments and will provide updates on the 2019-20 season at the appropriate time.

Scheduled Rockford IceHogs at BMO Harris Bank Center that have been suspended include Wednesday, March 18 vs. Milwaukee;  Saturday, March 21 vs. Iowa; Tuesday, March 24 vs. Texas; Sunday, March 29 vs. Chicago; Friday, April 3 vs. Chicago; and Saturday, April 11 vs. Iowa.

Tickets purchased for any of the aforementioned IceHogs games at BMO Harris Bank Center during the impacted dates will be honored for the rescheduled dates, which are still to be determined. Guests should stay tuned to IceHogs.com for updated information.
