Rockford man killed in home invasion
ROCKFORD — A home invasion on Rockford’s west side Friday morning has left one man dead.
Police say around 6:30 a.m., two suspects forced their way into a home in the 400 block of Henrietta Avenue and shot a 24-year-old man, who officers found dead at the scene. A 22-year-old woman was unharmed.
The suspects are described as two black males in their 20s. One is 5-9, 200 pounds with a large build. He was wearing dark clothing. The other man is 5-9, 170 pounds with a small build.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.
