Warrant issued in domestic violence case

ROCKFORD — Investigators with the Rockford Police Department are looking for a man they believed was involved in a domestic violence incident earlier this month on the city’s northwest side.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, March 11, patrol officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of North Rockton Avenue, where a woman reported that she was battered by a man with whom she had domestic relationship.

Police say that man is 22-year-old Desmond Glasoe, who fled the residence before officers arrived. Details of a follow-up investigation by Rockford’s Domestic Violence Unit were forwarded to the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office and a warrant was issued for Glasoe’s arrest. He is currently wanted on two counts of domestic violence. Initial bond has been set at $50,000.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Desmond Glasoe is asked to call the Rockford Police Investigations Bureau at 779-500-6551 or Crime Stoppers, 815-963-7867. R.
