BUFFALO GROVE — A Chicagoland nonprofit will host a daylong event to promote the medicinal value of cannabis.

The Illinois Cannabis Education Expo will be Sunday, April 22, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Hilton Hotel in Northbrook. It is hosted by the GG Chronic Pain Foundation.

Organizers say the expo is the first in Illinois to offer 3 Cannabis CME platforms for physicians. Presenters include Dr. Jay Joshi of National Pain Centers and Mahja Sulemanjee Bortocek of the Greenhouse Group/Grassroots Cannabis. There will also be an entire exhibition hall of cannabis and ancillary businesses on hand. Admission is $5.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak to a variety of diverse business in the cannabis industry and to physicians.
