Suspects sought in armed robbery at Five Guys

ROCKFORD — Investigators with the Rockford Police Department are seeking two suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at an east-side restaurant Thursday night.

At around 10 p.m., officers were dispatched to Five Guys Burgers & Fries, 611 Highgrove Place, where they met with several employees who said two men with handguns entered the business and demanded money from the registers. The gunmen were given unknown amount of money and fled the scene on foot.




Police say the first suspect is a black male, 5-10, 180 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing and a mask over his face. The second man is either black or Hispanic, 5-7, 150 pounds. Hew as also dressed in dark clothing and wearing a mask.

No injuries were reported.  Anyone with information is urged to call the Rockford Police Department. R.
