Jim Cornelison, Tommy Hawk highlight IceHogs playoff attractions

ROCKFORD — Anthem singer Jim Cornelison, Tommy Hawk, and rally towels are on tap for fans at the BMO Harris Bank Center as the Rockford IceHogs’ run for the 2018 Calder Cup continues in the Western Conference Finals against the Texas Stars.

Cornelison returns to Rockford to sing the national anthem before Game 3 Tuesday, May 22. As always, fans are encouraged to participate in the Chicago tradition of cheering during the anthem.

The first 2,500 fans for both Games 3 and 4 will receive a free “Red Rally” towel, courtesy of LawnCare by Walter, Inc., Mr. Cā€™s Family Restaurant and Anderson Toyota.

Fans are also encouraged to wear red during the series.

The Chicago Blackhawks Ice Crew will be in attendance during Game 3 to interact with fans in the stands and on the concourse. Blackhawks mascot, Tommy Hawk, will be at the BMO Thursday, May 24, for Game 4.

Rockford and Texas kick off their best-of-seven game series at 7 p.m., tonight at H-E-B Center in Austin. The IceHogs will play road games Friday and Sunday.

If necessary, Game 5 will be played in Rockford Friday, May 25. The series would then shift back to Texas for the final two games.
