ROCKFORD – A 54-year-old Rockford man was killed Sunday when his motorcycle crashed into a Winnebago County squad car.

Police say the man was traveling at a high rate of speed near West State Street and Pierpont Avenue when the crash occurred at around t 10:45 p.m.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The on-duty deputy was treated and
released for minor injuries. R.
