Belvidere woman jailed for false threat

BELVIDERE – A Belvidere woman is behind bars for allegedly transmitting a false threat of violence against a person at a local school while school was in session.

According police spokesmen, Sabrina Andrews, 20, was arrested Thursday as Belvidere High School, Belvidere South Middle School, Meehan Elementary School and the Belvidere STAR Program were on lockdown.

Andrews has also been charged with disorderly conduct for filing a false police report.

As of this report, Andrews is being held at the Boone County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

No injuries were reported. R.
