ROCKFORD – A man appearing in court on felony charges attacked a prosecutor at the Winnebago County Justice Center Thursday morning.

Witnesses say Kenneth Farr Jr., 39, who’s charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault of a child, struck the female prosecutor before being restrained by deputies.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Farr will likely face additional charges for the alleged attack.
